Wayfaring Tree is a hardy native shrub, valued for its ornamental appearance and wildlife benefits. Creamy white flower clusters appear in spring, followed by berries that change from red to black as they mature. Soft green foliage develops attractive autumn colour, making it a popular choice for hedgerows, woodland margins and landscape planting. It performs particularly well on chalk and limestone soils and thrives in sunny or partially shaded locations.
