The Grower specialises in the growing and supply of trees and hedging; offering our horticulture and landscape experience to provide a turn-key solution to planting needs including consulting, planting and maintenance services. We are based on our fifth generation 200-acre family farm which practices regenerative farming and is a pioneer of environmental diversification within a traditional farm model, investing in solar panels, supplying local industrial site electricity as well as opening a dog exercise field (Paws at Presingoll Farm). The businesses work together to draw on our combined experiences, with a focus on soil health, carbon sequestering and nature recovery.

Meet The Team
Together we have over 20 years’ experience in production horticulture and the landscape industry. Our passion for UK horticulture and improving the environment around us, builds on this experience, and inspired us to create the company.
Christopher King
Managing Director
Chris is the founder of The Grower Ltd. He studied at the University of Essex where he achieved a First Class degree in horticulture, before gaining experience in both the amenity and production horticulture sector.
He has worked within the horticultural industry for over ten years in a variety of roles, including working with and visiting some of the leading nurseries in the UK and Europe. Chris is passionate about growing and promoting UK horticulture, and believes that the UK can be completely self-sufficient in planting material.
Inez Williams-King
Director
Inez is co-founder of The Grower. She has a First Class degree from the University of Essex and Masters from the University of York. She has worked within the landscape industry for over 10 years with some of the UK’s leading landscape practices in a variety of roles, including historic landscape conservation, landscape management, planning and design. She is a Green Flag Award Judge and member of the Landscape Institute.
Inez is dyslexic and as such takes great pride acting as an advocate for empowering neurodiversity within the industry; as well as encouraging young people to join the environment sector. In 2023, she took part in a Women in Leadership conference at a local school, and hopes to continue this involvement in the future.
