Cherry Plum is a versatile small tree, valued for its early spring blossom, attractive form and wildlife benefits. One of the first trees to flower each year, its delicate white flowers provide a welcome burst of colour and an important early nectar source for pollinating insects. Growing well in gardens, hedgerows, parkland and woodland planting schemes, Cherry Plum can reach up to 8 metres but responds well to pruning. Its cherry like fruits are enjoyed by wildlife and can also be used for cooking.
