Acer campestre, the native Field Maple, is a fantastic, fast-growing addition to any native mixed hedge. Recognizable by its beautifully lobed leaves, it is highly valued for its stunning autumn colour, turning brilliant shades of buttery yellow and gold. It tolerates hard pruning well and provides an excellent habitat for insects and small birds.
