Taxus baccata, commonly known as Yew, is a long lived evergreen conifer valued for its dense, dark green foliage and excellent tolerance of pruning. A versatile choice for formal hedging, screening and landscape planting, it creates a compact, year round structure. Yew is slow growing but highly adaptable, thriving in a range of soils and tolerating shade better than many evergreen species. Its dense habit makes it ideal for wildlife friendly boundaries and traditional hedging schemes.
Plant Yew into well prepared soil and keep weeds under control while establishing. Water during extended dry periods throughout the first growing season. Yew responds well to regular trimming, making it ideal for formal hedging, although it can also be left to develop naturally as a specimen tree. Minimal maintenance is required once established.
Standard delivery 5-10 working days. Charges are calculated at checkout, delivery is made via pallet network. Collection is also welcomed from St. Agnes, please select this option at checkout.
