Laurel is a vigorous evergreen shrub, widely used for creating dense hedges, screening and boundary planting. Its large glossy leaves provide year round cover, while white flower spikes appear in spring and attract pollinating insects. Fast growing and tolerant of a range of conditions, Laurel performs well in sun or shade and is ideal where a reliable evergreen screen is required for gardens, commercial landscapes and amenity planting.
Plant Laurel into well prepared, weed free ground and water during prolonged dry periods while establishing. Regular trimming encourages a dense, healthy hedge and helps maintain the required shape. Laurel responds well to pruning and can be managed to suit a variety of screening and landscaping requirements.
